My mom immigrated to Canada from Hong Kong in 1970. She has always been incredibly devoted to us, her kids, with many sacrifices along the way. As with many immigrants of that era, they dreamt of a better life for us. The saying she always told us (and still tells us) is ‘Catch the time’, meaning always make the most of the time you have. Still relevant today.
