Here There X Ping Pong Club: Round the World Showdown

RTWShowdown

One table. One giant circle of worthy opponents. A ping pong showdown is no joke, folks. On Saturday, March 21, Here There presents Tiger Ping Pong Club’s Round-the-World Showdown & Party, a round-the-world style ping pong rumble that will see teams of three duke it out, settle scores, and win big.

Running around the ping pong table, teams send shots back and forth in a game where the strongest survive and the action won’t stop until there’s only one player standing. Along with city-wide bragging rights, teams will have a chance at winning a pair of Tiger Ping Pong Tables, one for keeps and another for a local charity.

Teams competing in the Round-the-World Showdown will represent a cross-section of established and emerging local companies, organizations and agencies, engaging personalities from the food, tech, media, business, arts and design communities in Vancouver. For those looking for something a little less competitive, there will be a fleet of Tiger Ping Pong tables ready for free play with small prize giveaways throughout the night – and a chance to square off against a ping pong playing robot!

Legendary ping pong showman, Michael ‘The Hunger’ Unger (The Biltmore Ping Pong Club) will be hosting the showdown, while Can I Live DJs spin solid gold tracks. With the forever loveable Joni McKervey (Sir Prancelot), Simon Wong (Simoniz) and Sol Salle (Bernie Lomax) bringing their best eclectic-as-hell, booty-shaking jams, guaranteed to keep the crowd moving all night long.
