Get Lucky Art Show 2024

We’re thrilled to announce this year’s Get Lucky Art Show, a community event celebrating Lunar New Year and the Year of the Dragon. Original artwork from 88+ local artists will be showcased over two days. Lucky red envelopes, transformed by pen, paint, foil, and glitter, all displayed in one beautiful and unique collection. Every piece in the show will be for sale, priced from $38. All ages are welcome – get your tickets below and celebrate the new year with us!

This year’s show features:

Dates & Times
Saturday, February 10, 6 pm – 10 pm
Sunday, February 11, 11 am – 4 pm (during the Chinatown Lunar New Year Parade)

Location
312 Main Street, Vancouver, BC (former VPD headquarters)
Entrance is on East Cordova

This will be our third time hosting this event, featuring art created on lucky red envelopes by up-and-coming and established Vancouver-based artists. In 2017, we displayed 35 artists and over 100 art pieces. In 2018, we doubled the programming by adding a feature exhibit by Chairman Ting, a local artisan bazaar, a dumpling bar (the genesis of Dicky’s Dumps!), and over 1000 visitors came through.

You can check out #getluckyartshow on Instagram to see some of the action from past events.

How to get there

  • Transit – There is a bus stop (#50425) outside the entrance on Cordova.
  • Bike – Take your bike inside – we have indoor bike racks to keep it safe.
  • Lyft/Uber/ride-share – Entrance is on Cordova.
  • Car – Metered street parking (3 hours if you find a spot) or nearby parkades.

The annual Chinatown Lunar New Year Parade is on Sunday, February 11, so please note that it will be very busy with attendees and road closures. Plan your route and trip time accordingly!
