One of Vancouver’s most anticipated culinary fundraiser events, Passions, presented by RBC, returns for its 20th year on November 30, 2023, at Granville Island’s Performance Works (1218 Cartwright Street). Guests can enjoy delicious bites, wine, and cocktails from the city’s top chefs throughout the evening while directly raising funds for Dr. Peter Centre’s vital Food and Nutrition Program.
Over 18 restaurants and bars have committed to Passions 2023, including Michelin-starred, local and independent gems and long-standing institutions across our city. Participating restaurants include Anh and Chi, Cantina Norte, Fanny Bay Oyster Bar, Fiorino, iDen & Quan Jude Beijing Duck House, Homer St. Café, Joe Fortes, Maenam, Melo Patisserie, Minami Yaletown, Oddfish, Pacific Yacht Charters & PYC Catering, PiDGin, Sala Thai Restaurant, Sushi Hil, The Acorn, Wildlight Kitchen + Bar, and Zarak.
Acclaimed bartender Guy Stowell of Tocador and up-and-coming Chelsea McNabb of Anh and Chi will be whipping up cocktails along with fresh brews from award-winning Powell Brewery.
Vancouver’s Man About Town Fred Lee and Global TV’s Sophie Lui return to emcee the special evening this year.

About Passions
The history of Passions dates back to 2002, to a small charity cooking class at Barbara-Jo’s Books to Cooks. In 2004, the event was moved to the Dr. Peter Centre and titled Passions. Organized by Vancouver food media personality Nathan Fong, the inaugural event featured nine chefs, and 100 attendees and raised $7,000. Under Nathan’s stewardship, Passions has tripled in size and become one of Vancouver’s most popular food and wine events, raising much-needed funds for the Dr. Peter Centre. Over the years, this commendable initiative has channelled over $2.5 million in support of the Dr. Peter Centre.

The Dr. Peter Centre is a non-profit organization based in Vancouver that provides progressive health care for people with HIV/AIDS, substance abuse, and complex mental health issues. The Centre offers a broad spectrum of services, from day health to long-term residential care, keeping them all connected to their community of health.
