Get a behind-the-scenes look at over 20 popular and iconic buildings in Vancouver this Saturday, October 4th. Doors Open is a one-day event that will give you a rare chance to join a guided tour, connect with people, and learn about some of the interesting work being done around the city. Enjoy free access to various venues and experience Vancouver’s architectural, design, engineering, and cultural heritage.

Some of these include: City Hall, the False Creek Energy Centre, Scotiabank Dance Theatre, 3-1-1 Call Centre, the Vancouver Animal Control Centre, the Vancouver Fire and Rescue Services Training Centre, the Vancouver Police Department Mounted Unit and more.

Doors Open events are hosted in cities around the world, including London, New York, and Toronto, attracting hundreds of thousands of participants. This unique experience connects residents with the buildings they know, giving them a look into the activities that normally take place behind the scenes. Vancouver’s event is presented by The City’s Engaged City Task Force in partnership with the Urbanarium, Tourism Vancouver, Vancouver Public Space Network, Vancouver Heritage Foundation and Cascadia Green Building Council.
