Don’t Argue Pizza to reopen on Commercial Drive

One of Vancouver’s favourite pizzerias is making an exciting return on March 1 with the opening of Don’t Argue Slice Shop inside Little Italy’s CAFFÈ SOCCAVO at 1321 Commercial Drive.

Opened in 2014, Don’t Argue Pizza was a Main Street mainstay beloved for its authentic New York-style pizza pies and slices. The cozy counter-service pizzeria closed its doors in 2019 after a successful five-year run in the Riley Park neighbourhood.

With the blessing of original founder Nathaniel Geary, the new incarnation of Don’t Argue Pizza will be helmed by brothers Domo and Frank Morra, who also own CAFFÈ SOCCAVO, East Van pizza institution Via Tevere Pizzeria, and the Saltimbocca food truck.

Don’t Argue Slice Shop will operate inside CAFFÈ SOCCAVO’s 40-seat space, allowing guests to enjoy the pizzeria’s signature New York slices alongside salads, antipasto, paninis, soft serve ice cream, and espresso-based drinks from the menu of Italian caffè classics.

Fans of the original Don’t Argue Pizza will recognize some familiar favourites on the new slice shop menu, with a few creative additions inspired by the Via Tevere team. The by-the-slice pizza lineup will include classic Margherita in regular and spicy varieties, Pancetta Pineapple, Pesto Ricotta with fresh basil pesto, and Potato Mash topped with whipped potato, red onion and braised kale.

Don’t Argue Slice Shop will be open inside CAFFÈ SOCCAVO from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on weekdays and until 10 p.m. on weekends. Pizza slices will be available for dine-in or pick-up and can be ordered for delivery.
