Warm summer nights are fleeting in our city, and we all look for ways to soak up every last drop, well past the beautiful sunset, savouring the flip flop weather before retiring to our aircon-less apartment. Here’s a new weeknight activity to add to the mix: The West End Games Night is a free, outdoor neighbourhood games night held in the Heart of Davie Plaza (Davie at Bute).
Every Thursday night this summer, the coloured picnic tables at Davie and Bute will be reserved for a neighbourhood board games night. Things will get going around 5pm, but feel free to drop in anytime throughout the evening until 9pm.
This is a friendly, casual, and free event where you can try out new games or enjoy old favorites. Have games you want to play? Bring them with you! Or just show up – the event is stocked with exciting new games like Settlers of Catan, Cards Against Humanity, Ticket to Ride, and Carcassonne, to name a few – and if you’ve never played before – don’t sweat it. They’ll teach you the rules.
The West End Games Night is a great way to meet neighbours, play cool games, have fun outdoors, and get your weekend off to a great start.
Sponsored by the Gordon Neighbourhood House, West End BIA, and Vancouver Foundation Neighbourhood Small Grants.
