The season of pumpkin patches and haunted houses is here. Here’s a round-up of where to find all the fun things going on in Metro Vancouver. While most of these are kid-friendly Halloween experiences, some are extra frightening and for adults only.
New for all ages: Note these new Halloween events for 2022: Pumpkins After Dark at Swanguard Stadium and Central Park in Burnaby and Canyon Frights at Capilano Suspension Bridge.
New for adults only. Leave the kids at home for these ultra-scary events: Don’t Flinch, an immersive high-tech haunted house at The Fomo Gallery in Chinatown, Empty Chest Haunted Adventure an interactive game with monsters and quests at Warner Loat Park in Burnaby, and Black Lagoon Halloween Pop-Up, an immersive, ultra spooky experience with cocktails at The Butcher & Bullock in Downtown Vancouver.

Pumpkins After Dark | Burnaby
Pumpkins After Dark is Canada’s award-winning outdoor Halloween event. Featuring over 6,000+ hand-carved pumpkins, this unique walk-through experience will have pumpkin sculptures and displays, with music, sounds and special effects. With classic Halloween characters, dinosaurs and dragons, and movie and pop culture icons this family-friendly event has something for everyone.

Canyon Lights | North Vancouver
Grab your boo crew and family-friendly costumes for tricks, treats, and spooktacular good times at Canyon Frights. Decorated with festive pumpkins and spooky displays, the Park is the place to be to celebrate the autumn season and revel in the frightful fun of Halloween. Kids of all ages can join in Halloween-themed games or complete the Canyon Frights Scavenger Hunt to win prizes.

Southlands Heritage Farm Pumpkin Patch is a small farm on the west side of Vancouver. Explore a sweet little farming oasis in the city. Meet the goats, sheep, chickens and horses. Pick a pumpkin from the Old Apple Orchard and sit by the campfire.

Richmond Country Farms | Richmond
An annual classic at one of the most popular patches. Enjoy music by the farm band The Country Pumpkins and other talented wagon entertainers. Pumpkin pickers ride hay wagons past the duck ponds and waterfalls to the fields. The farm is decorated with corn stocks, sunflowers, whimsical decorations, and more. Visit farm animals and enjoy a fresh BC-grown Spartan apple at the end.
