It’s been awhile since we’ve been out to the Twilight Drive-in Theatre in Langley, and while we had some handy tips for visiting back then, things are a bit different this year as we transition out of Covid. So before you pack up your family and head out for a movie night, listen up:
- Book your tickets online. There is a maximum of 50 cars per show, so secure your tickets early to avoid disappointment.
- No walk-ins allowed. You must arrive in a vehicle and stay in your vehicle at all times (aside from visiting the concession or washroom.)
- An over-the-air radio is required to hear the movie. Your car radio or a battery-powered one will work. (Unfortunately, there is no app and the venue no longer rents radios.)
- Outside food is not permitted. Support the concession stand if you need snacks.
- Leave your pets at home! No pets allowed.
When we checked, they are currently showing classics such as Grease and Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. Support the only true drive-in theatre in Vancouver – we’d love to see them stick around!
The website notes that the above rules apply during Phase 2 of re-opening (as per the Ministry of Health); visit the Twilight Drive-In website and Facebook page for the latest updates.
