It’s Thanksgiving and you aren’t mentally or physically ready to spend all weekend grocery shopping and prepping a giant meal. So don’t! Here are some options for where to get your turkey Thanksgiving dinner in Vancouver.
Dine In:
L’Epicerie Gourmande
Pick up a full turkey meal deal from L’Epicerie Gourmande on Granville Island. A pretty sweet deal – $14.99 includes rotisserie boneless turkey leg, truffled mash, maple-butter roasted butternut squash and brussel sprouts, thyme demi-glace and citrus-cranberry marmalade. Or dig into those Canadian roots with turkey or pork tourtiere ($20). Order at least 24 hours ahead.
Truffles Fine Foods
Having an intimate dinner for four? Truffles menu includes sliced boneless turkey, turkey gravy, cranberry sauce, whipped garlic mashed potatoes, roasted root vegetables, and pumpkin pie ($100). Order deadline: October 5.
Whole Foods
Having an 8 person family dinner? Whole Foods has your menu sorted. Pick up their traditional menu of organic turkey, ready to cook brining kit included, fresh green beans with shallots, fruit and herb stuffing, mashed potatoes, turkey gravy, cranberry relish, dinner rolls, and pumpkin pie. ($199.99) Order deadline: October 8.
Railtown Catering
Kick it up a notch with Railtown’s Thanksgiving To-Go. Check out the menu: sage-roasted organic turkey; traditional giblet gravy; organic mesclun greens with candied walnuts, citrus segments, aged sherry vinaigrette; dried apricot, chestnut & brioche bread stuffing; maple-glazed sweet potatoes; mashed yukon gold potatoes with chives; buttered baby carrots, brussels sprouts with toasted almonds, housemade dinner rolls & focaccia with sweet butter, wild flower honey & ginger cranberry sauce, classic pumpkin pie with chantilly cream. Partial proceeds will be used to serve meals to Mission Possible, a non-profit organization that provides street-level care for those with immediate and critical needs in the Downtown Eastside. Hotel dining experience from the comfort of your home. Fairmont’s Turkey To-Go includes roasted turkey, leek & fig stuffing, mashed potatoes, honey-glazed heirloom carrots, cranberry triple sec relish, giblet gravy, spiced pumpkin pie & bourbon vanilla-scented cream, rustic breads & creamery butter. We’ve had this one – it’s pretty amazing. ($350, serves 8-10 people) Order deadline: October 6.

The Irish Heather’s 7th Annual Thanksgiving Long Table Series runs Sunday, Oct 9th and Monday, Oct 10th, 7pm. $18 gets you a full turkey dinner with a tasty beer at their 40ft communal table. Kids are welcome, plus vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options are available. Email to reserve your spot. October 9 & 10, 7pm.
Homer Street Cafe and Bar
Of course Homer Street would come through. Brined, free-range rotisserie turkey, stuffing, turkey jus, cranberry sauce, and other fixings – $28 (pumpkin pie $10). October 8, 9, 10.

This weekend, Forage will offering a roasted Fraser Valley turkey 3-course prix fixe menu at $50 per person, served family style. Call to reserve. October 8 & 9.
Diva at the Met
You can get a tryptophan hit for lunch all this week through October 11, though you might need to schedule in an afternoon siesta. Roasted apple & butternut squash soup, free-run turkey, buttermilk mash, fig & chestnut stuffing, roasted fall vegetables, crispy brussel sprouts, madeira & chantrell turkey pan jus, warm pear tartin with creme anglaise and cranberry ginger sorbet. $29 per person, kids under 12 eat free.
