For women by women, Mae sets out to empower women in the auto industry
With almost a decade in the auto industry, including seven years at General Motors and managing over 80 dealerships across Canada, Vivian saw firsthand that the auto industry hasn’t always been friendly to women. That’s why she’s building Making Auto Easy (Mae), a car matchmaking experience to empower women (and all car shoppers!) to level the playing field.
You can meet the team and learn more about Mae at this year’s Vancouver International Auto Show. On March 23rd and 24th, Mae is hosting a Women’s Auto Show Corner & The Women in Auto Stage to mark a significant milestone in promoting local female representation in the industry and auto literacy among female car owners.
With a mission to empower women in the car-buying process, Mae is leading the charge in creating a supportive and informative platform for women. Despite women influencing 85% of car purchasing decisions and purchasing 62% of all cars, many still face barriers and discrimination in the male-dominated auto industry. Mae aims to level the playing field to drive confident car-buying decisions among women.
Mae’s commitment to fostering inclusivity will be highlighted on March 23rd, dubbed “Women’s Day” at the Vancouver Auto Show, where attendees can dive into a personally curated and highly anticipated series of workshops, panels, and demos – all led by local women in auto.
