Happy Lunar New Year! The second annual Fortune Food Fair at Fortune Sound Club was a blast. Nearly 1200 people came through the doors to chow down and take in the Chinatown Lunary New Year Parade festivities.
This year’s one-day pop-up food hall featured food and drinks from DD Mau, Dicky’s Dumps, Katz Pozole, Maria’s Payalok, Nanay Kitchen, Salty Cabbage Kimchi, Wara Thai, and Wize Monkey. Our friends from Mah Society came through to bless us with a traditional lion dance. We love seeing everyone every year for Lunar New Year and love seeing Chinatown come alive. Much love to Fortune Sound Club for being our co-host and partner in putting on these community events.
Good karma points: Maria Ticinovic Gamboa is once again donating profits from her Filipino food booth to BC Children’s Hospital. So sweet.
