Flavours of Hope is a dynamic non-profit social enterprise celebrating newcomer immigrant and refugee women through cooking, storytelling, community-building, and food entrepreneurship. Through Flavours of Hope, these women participate in a food business program called Dream Cuisines. It empowers them to confidently build and launch their feminist food businesses while sharing their rich cultures, cuisines, and stories with the community.
Flavours of Hope is hosting an event inviting the public to meet these amazing newcomer women entrepreneurs and enjoy their delicious food at Food from our Roots: Newcomer Women Food Business Launch on World Refugee Day, Thursday, June 20th. Join in celebrating the launch of the 2024 Dream Cuisines women cohort’s food businesses and supporting alumni businesses with a diverse spread of traditional food and stories from the homelands of Iran, Saudi Arabia, Palestine, Morocco, Syria, Egypt, Mexico, Colombia and India.
Tickets are by donation, and all the proceeds go towards the Dream Cuisines Newcomer Women Food Business Program.
