Flavours of Hope is a non-profit social enterprise supporting newcomer refugee and immigrant women to flourish and experience belonging through cooking, community-building, storytelling, and entrepreneurship. Founded by Trixie Ling, the organization aims to help newcomer women earn a livable income and build social connections in the community through cooking and sharing culinary traditions and stories.
On Friday, June 24, Flavours of Hope will celebrate the business launch of the 2022 Dream Cuisines cohort, Rose Royal Persian Bakery and Super Awesome Eats. The summer celebration market, hosted at Coho Commissary, will include drinks, treats, and food for sale from the newcomer women’s food businesses launched by Dream Cuisines, including past alumni. Event attendees will be supporting these fledgling food businesses, partake in delicious sweet and savoury flavours from Egypt, Iran, India, and Mexico.
There is also an option to add a goodie bag to your admission, which includes a Dream Cuisines tote bag pre-loaded with delectable desserts by Rose Royal Persian Bakery and Super Awesome Eats. Perfect for gifts, to take home and share, or for supporters with a sweet tooth!
All ticket sales cover event costs and support the Dream Cuisines program, which equips newcomer women entrepreneurs to build their food businesses and empowers community leadership. Tickets are available now. More about Dream Cuisines: https://flavoursofhope.com/dream-cuisines.
