Fearmongers, Vancouver’s only fully immersive and interactive haunted house, is ready to scare your pants off. After a wildly successful first year in 2014, they are back with a new spook-tacular theme: myths and monsters. This extraordinary experience will pull you into an eerie world of Greek tragedy where you will have to run, jump, climb, and crawl your way out of the battle between monsters and men. There are thirteen themed rooms spread across 12,000 sq ft of space with strategically placed traps, monsters, and obstacles.

“It was important to us that we wouldn’t just give guests jump scares, but that we would unleash deep-seated fears that you will feel in your spine; a kind of scared so powerful that makes it hard to swallow,” said the creators. Uh….we are already shaking in our boots.

Fearmongers is open from Friday, October 23 to Sunday, November 22, 6:00pm – 1:00am. Tickets are $66.66 per person or $86.66 for access to the VIP lounge (includes beer from Granville Island Brewing, food from Railtown Catering, and you get to preview an extra room for next year’s haunt). Full details on their website.

Extra reading

We love knowing the backstory of how things came to be. The creators, Josh and Alice, have been avid haunt enthusiasts for years. They have been going from haunted house to haunted house all over the world indulging their love of everything scary. Alice has worked in the monster effects industry for years and Josh is a haunt connoisseur, so they felt they had the right ingredients for an awesome haunt. So in 2014, they built a “small” 16-foot high pyramid in their front yard, Alice constructed a bunch of Egyptian mummies, crates, an Anubis, and a sarcophagus. They filled it with five tonnes of sand, put up two golden pillars and waited for people to show up. They ended up having over 500 people attend, and they raised over $1,000 for the BC Children’s Hospital. Wow!

  1. Me and my bestie Mandy are always looking for a haunt to make us so scared that we pee our pants. We’ve been to many but none have earned the ML piddle award as of yet. Will you be the haunt that wets our pants?

  2. My soon to be hubby is the most fearless person I know but it would be interesting to see if he kept that title after visiting fearmongers #dlgiveaways. #fearmongers
