With tributes to Leonard Cohen\, John Lennon\, 50s & 60s era gold\, and what could be mistaken for a simple holiday record\, their catalog is an ever evolving\, genre-free wonder. 2023 saw them launch an all original folk opera about Pigeons(!) and the causes of housing insecurity. The Pigeon & The Dove premiered at the Vancouver Fringe Fest where they took home the prestigious Social Impact Award. In 2025 they made their US premiere in Seattle and Bellingham\, deep in the US/Canada trade war\, and are currently working on recording an album of original songs from the Pigeon for a late 2026 release. DESCRIPTION:The City of Richmond and Tourism Richmond are proud to present Richmond Celebrates Soccer\, a series of free community events taking place over six weeks to welcome the arrival of the largest sporting event in the world\, the FIFA World Cup 2026™. Take part in fun watch parties and family-friendly celebrations that honour the beautiful game and the spirit of sport\, beginning with the World Soccer Day Kick-Off Event on June 12 at the Richmond Olympic Oval. There will be a public barbecue\, music\, soccer activities for participants of all ages\, and a watch party of Team Canada’s first match against Bosnia and Herzegovina. In July\, the Signature Closing Event at Aberdeen Neighborhood Park will mark the grand finale\, featuring local soccer clubs\, live performances\, and a watch party of the tournament final. \nVarious venues across the City of Richmond.
