He is one of the representative figures after Lin Fengmian who combines Chinese and Western art exquisitely. \nLiu Xiaoqing is a respected figure in the calligraphy world. DESCRIPTION:Dive into a sea of summer fun at Metropolis at Metrotown! BC’s largest shopping centre is celebrating summer with an “Under the Sea” theme\, featuring vibrant oceanic décor\, family-friendly events\, and the debut of Night Market at the Met. This summer spectacular runs through September 2\, inviting visitors to immerse themselves in aquatic adventures and explore ocean-themed installations\, all in partnership with Ocean Wise. \nSoak up vibrant displays of jellyfish\, coral reef\, and seaweed decorations at various mini-parks throughout the centre\, culminating in a stunning main display in the Grand Court. Shoppers can also capture memories with professionally managed photos at the Grand Court’s undersea wonderland from July 17-19 (11am-5pm) and July 20-28 (11am-7pm). Pose with ocean-themed props and a fun sea creature. Packages start at $20\, with some proceeds supporting Ocean Wise. Photos can be reserved online at metropolisatmetrotown.com. \nWith an action-packed calendar of events\, don’t miss the dazzling Under the Sea parade (July 6 and 20\, and August 3\, from 12pm-1:30pm)\, where parade participants will don stunning sea creature costumes as they make their way through the centre. On July 13 and 14\, Ocean Wise’s Sea Dome will take over the Grand Court\, featuring 360-degree 4K footage of beautiful ocean environments and allowing shoppers to learn from expert educators about ocean conservation and explore interactive stations with ocean artifacts. \nThe first-ever Night Market at the Met – inspired by Asian hawker centres – will bring a free-to-enter\, outdoor market to the public (July 4-7). Attendees can choose from a selection of delectable eats from various street vendors\, enjoy live entertainment\, including musical performances\, a street circus\, and dancers\, and participate in family-friendly offerings like face painting and balloon-making. The market will be at the centre’s outdoor South Plaza on Central Boulevard. \nFrom June 19 to September 2\, guests can pick up a Summer Passport at Guest Services and explore\, take photos\, find free samples (including ice cream and drinks)\, collect stamps\, and enter for a chance to win one of three $100 gift cards to Metropolis at Metrotown. \nMetropolis at Metrotown’s Summer at the Met runs now through September 2.
