SUMMARY:Peerless
DESCRIPTION:Hilarious. Magnetic. Unhinged.\nPart of Ensemble Theatre Company’s 2026 Festival: Bloodlines. \nPeerless follows twin sisters M and L as they spiral through the absurd\, high-pressure theatre of elite college admissions. What begins as ambition curdles into obsession\, with every choice landing somewhere between strategy and disaster. Fast\, viciously funny\, and relentlessly watchable! \nEntertainment at its sharpest: ruthless\, funny\, and impossible to look away from. \nIn a moment when debates around affirmative action and “merit” continue to be reshaped and weaponised in public discourse\, Peerless cuts through with a bracing clarity: the stories we tell about fairness are not neutral: they’re constructed\, repeated\, and believed until they feel like fact. The play skewers those narratives with a comedian’s precision and a thriller’s momentum\, exposing how quickly “meritocracy” becomes myth-making. \nTalkback on July 15 after the 7:30 pm performance.\nJoin us for a brunch time performance before the matinee\, July 19th\, featuring Fistful of Crime Improv.

SUMMARY:A Streetcar Named Desire
DESCRIPTION:Iconic. Essential. Electric.\nPart of Ensemble Theatre Company’s 2026 Festival: Bloodlines. \nA cornerstone of 20th Century theatre\, A Streetcar Named Desire traces the unraveling of Blanche DuBois as she arrives in New Orleans to take shelter with her sister Stella and brother-in-law Stanley. Clashing realities\, desire\, and delusion collide in this emotionally charged drama\, revealing the fragility of identity and the harshness of truth in a changing world. \nIn turbulent and uncertain times\, this iconic play could not be more prescient as we witness a family moving towards new identities and fighting for their vision of the American Dream. Tennessee Williams’ play is a portrait of a woman caught between the demons of her past and prospect of a new life. \nTalkback performance July 12 after the 2:00 pm performance.\nJoin us for brunch time performances before matinee\, July 12th\, featuring singer Violet Grace.

SUMMARY:Palace
DESCRIPTION:Palace have been making music together for over a decade. What started out as carefree jam sessions between Leo Wyndham\, Rupert Turner and Matt Hodges in an airless studio in North London established a DIY ethos that remains intrinsic to the spirit of the band to this day. \nIn early 2025\, Palace took a career leap releasing the Greyhound EP on their own label\, Palace Presents – a collective they’d started in 2016 as a monthly night at The George Tavern in East London\, which had quietly grown into something more intentional. A positive and protected space as Leo described it\, away from the usual constraints of the music industry. \n“Kid” was released in April 2026\, together with the announcement of a 30-date tour of the USA and Canada in the Fall of 2026\, culminating in a show at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles. \n“Kid is about longing for a child an ocean away. It’s the ache we feel for our people when we’re separated from them. It doesn’t feel like a sadness or heaviness\, but more an affirmation of that love\, a primal release sung into the sunset as the road flies by.” \nJoin us for Palace’s Chan Centre debut and experience their immersive sound brought to life on our stage.
