SUMMARY:Harm
DESCRIPTION:Mitch and Murray Productions is excited to produce and present the North American premiere of Harm from Friday\, March 20 to Sunday\, March 29\, 2026\, at Studio 16. \nAudiences are invited into an unsettling world with Harm\, a gripping one-woman play by acclaimed British playwright Phoebe Eclair-Powell. This suspenseful\, razor-sharp comedy stars Kelli Ogmundson (Animal Control) in a powerful solo performance under the direction of Jennifer Copping. \nHarm follows an unhappy estate agent whose life takes a startling turn after she sells a home to Alice\, a charismatic social media influencer. What starts as an unlikely friendship quickly spirals into fixation\, and when her obsession with Alice’s seemingly perfect world intensifies\, the lines between digital fantasy and real life become dangerously blurred. Harm is a thrilling\, twisted tale on the corrosive effects of social media and isolation. \n“Our company’s mandate is to always speak to the current moment\,” says Mitch and Murray Productions’ Artistic Director\, Aaron Craven. “For years now\, I’ve been looking for a play about social media and the loneliness epidemic. Digital addiction is everywhere – we know the smartphones are fueling unhealthy habits\, but like smoking in the twentieth century\, the allure and the corporate sales tactics keep us itchy for that next dopamine hit. Harm is a beautifully intimate\, often funny\, and ultimately disturbing look at one lonely woman’s descent into obsession – one hashtag at a time.”

SUMMARY:CONCERT | MA\, Amir Amiri & Elham Menouchehri
DESCRIPTION:The project “MA” carries profound layers of meaning\, blending the Zen concept of “ma\,” the space between things\, with the Farsi word “ma\,” meaning “us.” highlights the delicate balance between sound and silence\, presence and absence\, as the tar and santur intertwine in a musical dialogue. In “MA”\, the space between notes—much like the space between people—holds meaning\, fostering a sense of connection that transcends individual expression. The music is not just a performance\, but a meditation on unity\, where “us” represents the shared creative journey of the musicians. Together they create a space where Persian tradition and contemporary expression converge\, celebrating the power of unity and the beauty found in the spaces between.

SUMMARY:Ame Henderson Projects + Provincija: Show Gone
DESCRIPTION:The Dance Centre and Vancouver International Dance Festival present Canadian choreographer Ame Henderson and Croatian director Matija Ferlin in Show Gone\, a new duet which plays with light and darkness to explore the felt experience of endings – political\, social and personal ones. \nThe “snap to black” and the revealed tableaux that follow become a motif exposing the impossibility of controlling the narrative. Again and again a new world appears\, fit for their back-and-forth of confession and revelation.

SUMMARY:Amour Courtois: Medieval Meets Jazz
DESCRIPTION:Amour Courtois is a bold and evocative musical project led by French jazz pianist Baptiste Bailly\, reimagining 14th-century French songs through the lens of contemporary improvisation. Inspired by the enduring emotional resonance of medieval melodies\, Bailly collaborates with Matthew Baker on the baryton and Efren López on the hurdy-gurdy and ouds\, crafting an anachronistic yet striking soundscape. Their repertoire – featuring works by Machaut\, Binchois\, and Lescurel – bridges centuries and highlights the timelessness of human expression. \nAmour Courtois treats medieval songs not as static artifacts but as living works. While the original melodies are respected as closely as possible\, with the aim of preserving their essence\, the musicians change the settings\, time signatures\, chords\, context\, and costumes. Improvised or newly written passages are integrated into the pieces\, like moments of intimate expression nourished by the eclecticism of their personalities and influences\, revealing a touching and spontaneous musical craftsmanship\, boundless and timeless.
