VanAfrica: A Celebration of Africa in Vancouver

Experience the heartbeat of Africa at VanAfrica, a vibrant celebration of rhythm, movement, and culture led by some of Vancouver’s premier traditional African drummers, dancers and instrumentalists on October 25 at the Ukrainian Hall, 805 E Pender Street, Vancouver. Presented by Time Will Tell Arts Society, the evening features a powerful lineup of artists who will bring the traditions of Ghana, Guinea, Côte d’Ivoire, Zimbabwe, and guests from Afro-Cuba. Beyond drums and dance, intimate and sensitive instruments such as the mbira and kora will also be featured.
