Portraits of Solitude

September 5 @ 5:00 pm - September 15 @ 5:00 pm

$15

Have you ever felt lost in a labyrinth of existential questions, fears, and possibilities? Have you ever questioned your place as an artist in this ever so uncertain world? Have you ever wondered if your houseplants are trying to kill you in your sleep?

Portraits of Solitude is a one act absurdist dramedy about Amara, a writer during COVID-19 lockdown, attempting to finish her novel. The voices in her head and the character from her novel come alive to have a chaotic conversation discussing everything from Amara’s personal fears and existential crisis to the state of the world to what it means to be an artist in the modern world.

Written and directed by Sunny Mohajer and starring Alethea Sholomenko, Tanya Jade, Marnie Mahannah, James Cowley, Siobhan Connors, and Pat Moonie, this play will have you in stitches with its relatability, snappy wit, and heartfelt dialogue.
