Opera Unbound is seeking contributions to the first Community-Curated Soundwalk. What does your neighbourhood sound like?
The soundscape of a community is an expression of its life, its heart, its members and values. During the pandemic, the silence in our communal spaces was deeply felt. Opera Unbound is celebrating the return of sound as an expression of vibrant, connected communities by creating a community-curated Soundwalk. This immersive audio experience will be shared online to be enjoyed anywhere — at Memorial South Park, in your favourite neighbourhood location, or from the comfort of your own home. Launch date is set for early September 2022
What sounds represent the life of your neighbourhood? Submit original musical recordings, poems, the ambient sounds of your street – anything that reminds you of your community! Submit your sound by July 31.
