Make the Season Kind: Join CBC B.C. and help support local food banks

CBC’s holiday campaign is back, and it has a new name! Our annual beloved fundraiser is now called “Make the Season Kind”, in support of communities in need and food banks in B.C.
The name is new, but the purpose is the same. For over 37 years, British Columbians have been generously donating to food banks at CBC/Radio-Canada’s annual Food Bank Day, raising more than $20 million for food banks in B.C.
This year, CBC British Columbia will host its 2024 Make the Season Kind on Friday, December 6. It’s a full day of programming with festivities at the CBC Vancouver Broadcast Centre.
The event date lines up as a perfect pre-concert gathering for Taylor Swift fans and Vancouverites alike! Attendees can get creative at our DIY friendship bracelet station for the concert (or just for fun!), show off their style at the 360 video booth, plus, enter for a chance to win tickets to the upcoming JUNO Awards and events. Just head to the CBC Vancouver Plaza between 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. for all of the fun!
Beyond the pre-concert and pre-hockey game fun, the event will feature live music and performances that celebrate the spirit of giving while spotlighting our city’s unique sounds and vibrant talent.
We are also inviting the public to be part of a small, intimate live studio audience at the CBC Vancouver Broadcast Centre for a free special program of The Early Edition from 6:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. Seats are limited, register online.
