From April 3rd to April 10th, 2024, we are proud to present an exceptional collection of installations, paintings, and photographs by ten visionary immigrant artists residing in the Greater Vancouver area. Daniil Alikov, Pepe Hidalgo, Roy Hoh, Sofiya Mukhachova, Anja Nov, Xiangmei Su, Fanny Tang, Wenli Yang, Wu Yang, and Xi Yu convey their intricate perceptions and rich narratives through their captivating artworks.

In this exhibition, each artist unveils the natural beauty and cultural vibrancy of Vancouver through their unique perspectives, engaging viewers in a dialogue with mythology, history, astrology, and science, while reflecting on their personal narratives. This multifaceted approach not only showcases their diverse talents but also explores the complex layers of immigrant identity and belonging. The exhibition, a blend of “innovation meets tradition,” employs a wide range of techniques from traditional painting and photography to avant-garde 3D printing and collage, navigating themes of family, parenthood, and the evolution of their artistic voices with both depth and humour.
