Lansdowne Centre Drive-In Summer Series Wednesdays

Drive-In Summer Series 2026: A classic summer tradition, drive-in movie theatres offer a unique outdoor movie experience, allowing audiences to watch films on a large outdoor screen from the comfort of their vehicles while tuning in to the movie audio through their car radios. As traditional drive-in theatres have become increasingly rare across Metro Vancouver, these events provide a nostalgic blend of big-screen entertainment and community connection for families and movie lovers.

To help preserve this beloved summer tradition, Lansdowne Centre launched its Drive-In Summer Series in 2015. Over the years, the free outdoor movie nights have become a highly anticipated seasonal event for Richmond residents and beyond, offering a unique opportunity for families and friends to gather and enjoy films under the stars.

This summer, the series is returning with seven themed movie nights featuring a variety of genres, from musicals to blockbusters and family favourites. Both drivers and pedestrians are welcome to attend, with a designated pedestrian viewing zone available on-site.

Lansdowne Centre has shortlisted two films for each screening night and is inviting the public to vote for the movies they would most like to see on the big screen.
