Immanuel Wilkins & Lutosławski Quartet – Vancouver International Jazz Festival

For this special event, saxophonist/composer Immanuel Wilkins joins the Lutosławski Quartet, one of Europe’s foremost contemporary classical string quartets.

This Vancouver International Jazz Festival performance marks the Canadian premiere of a new Immanuel Wilkins piece written for the Lutosławski Quartet and commissioned by Jazztopad Festival / National Forum of Music in Wroclaw, Poland.

The 40th anniversary of the Vancouver International Jazz Festival runs from June 20 to July 1, featuring 187 performances ranging from pay-what-you-can to ticketed events, including 50 free shows from downtown to Granville Island and the North Shore.
