IDENTICI? Book Launch, Artist Talk, Workshop and Exhibition by Alice Cao

January 12

Lipont Gallery is proud to collaborate with Vancouver-based artist Alice Cao to present a series of events celebrating her new wordless picture book, IDENTICI?. This program includes an exhibition, an artist talk, an exhibition, and a hands-on creative workshop designed for art lovers and families alike.

Book Signing + Artist Talk
Sunday, Jan 11, 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM (Free Event)

Published by the renowned Italian publisher Carthusia Edizioni, IDENTICI? is a powerful wordless narrative that explores the struggle against conformity and the value of diversity. In a world that tries to shape us, it is increasingly challenging to be our true selves; we are afraid of being different, of not being accepted. The protagonist of the story faces this very struggle. In an attempt to fit in, she disguises herself. But when an unexpected incident reveals her true self, something magical happens—she discovers others who are just as unique as she is, making new friends who love her for who she truly is. This silent book celebrates diversity and the courage to be our true selves, suitable for readers of all ages.

IDENTICI? was a finalist for the Silent Book Contest-Gianni De Conno Award and was exhibited at the 2024 Bologna Children’s Book Fair and the Turin International Book Fair, Italy’s largest book fair.
