FBC’s IRD Coffee Connections

Join Fighting Blindness Canada for an inspiring evening at the IRD Coffee Connections on Thursday, April 9, 2026, from 6:00–8:00 p.m. PT at 411 Seniors Centre . This free, in-person peer support event is designed for individuals living with Inherited Retinal Diseases (IRD) like retinitis pigmentosa, Usher syndrome, Stargardt disease, and more—plus family members, caregivers, and allies.
What to Expect:
Expert Presentations: Hear from Dr. Kirill Zaslavsky on the latest IRD research, clinical trials, emerging gene therapies, and personalized treatment options available in Canada.
Lived Experience Panel: Real stories from IRD community members sharing daily strategies, tech adaptations (e.g., low-vision aids, apps), emotional wellness tips, and family perspectives.
Open Networking & Coffee: Connect one-on-one with peers, enjoy complimentary coffee/refreshments, and access resource tables with Fighting Blindness Canada materials (e.g., research updates, support group directories).
