A Legacy of Art and Vision: Celebrating the Federation of Canadian Artists

The Federation of Canadian Artists (FCA) will transform Granville Island into a hub of creativity, culture, and connection with ‘A Legacy of Art and Vision’—a celebration of over eight decades shaping Canada’s visual arts landscape. Taking place on October 30th at Performance Works on Granville Island, the event marks a major milestone for the FCA and the vibrant arts community it continues to support.
Founded in 1941 by some of the country’s most celebrated artists—including Group of Seven icons Lawren Harris, A.Y. Jackson, and Emily Carr—the FCA has grown into Canada’s largest visual arts organization. With a mission to elevate artistic standards, support professional and emerging artists, and champion Canadian creativity, the FCA remains a cornerstone of the national arts landscape.
In partnership with Sotheby’s International Realty, A Legacy of Art and Vision will bring together artists, collectors, patrons, and arts leaders for an unforgettable weekend of celebration, culture, and community.
